Mangaluru, Dec 10, 2015: Senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary has said that going against the party by anyone was unacceptable. Poojary was referring to the recent developments wherein at least three rebel candidates of the Congress, including his very own loyalist Harikrishna Bantwal have filed nominations as independent candidates for the MLC polls.
Speaking to reporters on December 10, Thursday, Poojary said he had even called Harikrishna Bantwal and had asked him to withdraw his candidature but of no avail. He also hoped that the rebels would withdraw their nomination.
Referring to the controversial National Herald case, Poojary slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and charged him of misusing Enforcement Directorate. He was also critical of BJP leader Subrahmaniam Swamy.
The opposition expressed by artistes, scholars and writers to the rising intolerance in the nation has been of no avail, Poojary said.
On the Yettinahole project, Poojary criticised Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel for not raising the issue even until now.
