Speaking to the media men at the District Congress Office on July 18, Saturday, Poojary dubbed the  PM as ‘Mounendra Modi’ for his silence. He also challenged the PM to come out in the open and speak to the media. He said so far 3.61 lakh farmers have ended lives in the nation. ‘The Prime Minister has done nothing to solve the problem,’ Poojary alleged.

He also questioned the Prime Minister as to what plans he had to reduce the burden of loans of farmers. “The farmers are approaching private money lenders for loans as banks  are not giving enough loans,” Poojary alleged and wanted to know what the RBI as well as the Finance Minister have to say regarding this.

He said the erstwhile Congress regime at the Centre had given due importance to both private as well as public sectors unlike the present government which was selling stakes in public sector to the private sectors.

Harikrishna Bantwal, TK Sudhir, Suresh Ballal and others were present.
