Mangalore, Mar 18: Leaders of various political parties and organizations extended their support to the PDF youth, who entered into the 18th day of their indefinite hunger strike today.

Jagadish Shenava, the VHP leader and advocate, said in his protest speech that the 186 PDF youth, who have completed their training, should be immediately recruited by MRPL or ONGC. He also said that the company should give a written assurance that the 188 youth who are currently undergoing training will be given jobs as soon as they complete their training.

 

 

 

 

DYFI President Muneer Katipalla said that the companies should provide compensation of Rs. 30 lakh per student if they fail to provide the promised jobs. He also warned that the protest will intensify after March 21.

P. V. Mohan, Yadav Shetty, and Ivan D’Souza were also present at the protest venue in front of the DC’s office.
