Police trace COVID-19 patient who fled from Wenlock hospital

Mangaluru, July 6, 2020: An 18-year-old youth, who had escaped from the Wenlock COVID-19 hospital in mngaluru, has been traced and brought back to hospital on Monday. The youth was escaped from the hospital on Sunday, the police said.


Covid 19 patient escaped


The young man who hails from Darbe in Puttur was staying with his grandmother in Mangaluru. He had visited the Wenlock Hospital on July 1 to undergo  a Covid-19 test on his own and was later admitted to the hospital as he had Covid-19 symptoms. His lab test was positive on Sunday and the same evening he escaped at around 4 pm.

City police commissioner Vikash Kumar Vikash, in a tweet, congratulated the constables Shankarappa Lamani and Shankarappa Nandyal for tracing the youth.
