Police and Fire Personnel Rescue DC from Terrorists

District Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Ponnuraj was attacked by terrorists in his office on October 22, Thursday. Owing to the timely intervention of the fire service, the government departments, and the police department, he was able to escape from his office unscathed. 

As soon as the DC arrived in his office, a group of terrorists attacked him. Police personnel, along with the fire service, rushed to the spot and saved the DC. 

The public, who rushed to the spot, were both surprised and worried to see a large number of police personnel on the spot, trying to rescue the DC from the terrorists.

Later, the public were informed that this was not a real incident, but a mock drill organized by security agencies to test the efficiency of the fire service and the police department in handling situations such as these. This drill was organized in order to train security agencies to face such challenging incidents in future.
