Mangaluru, March 28, 2020:   City Police Commissioner has  asked police personnel  on duty at various parts of the city, not to lathi charge people or use force against  those who have come  out of their homes for purchase of essential   commodities.

In a voice message, he has also asked the cops not to stop vehicles carrying essential supplies. In the event a driver is found to be suffering from fever during thermal screening, he must be taken aside and measures must be taken to provide treatment, the Commissioner said.

Those with passes can travel in the city  and district. But no one from Kerala will be allowed in Mangaluru, the  Commissioner said.
