Pitty Nagesh murder - 5 suspects in police net

Udupi, Sep 12, 2014: As per news reports, the Udupi DCIB police have in quick response, arrested 5 suspects in connection with the brutal murder of rowdy sheeter Pitty Nagesh September 11. The five are, Korankarapady Vishwanath, Guruprasad Alveoor, Munna, Santosh of Nandagokula, and Zakir Kukkikatte.

Ill health health had forced Pitty Nagesh indoors in his house in recent times. On Sept 11, evening, Munna (one of his aides now arrested) visited him and took him a car to Katapady, and there to bar. Nagesh was made to drink and in an inebriated state was taken to Udupi. A plan was hatched by the gang, the car was waylaid at Udyavar and Nagesh was brutally attacked and murdered. Munna then fled with the others in a blue Maruti 800 car. Guruprasad Alevoor, Santosh and others had attempted murder on Nagesh previously.

Guruprasad was arrested first and then the others based on the information provided by him. More details are expected after further interrogations in progress.
