Pilikula to organise competitions on the theme ’Nature and Wildlife’

Mangaluru: September 26, 2015: As part of Wildlife Week 2015 celebrations, Pilikula Biological Park will organize various competitions on the theme ’Nature and Wildlife’.

 

The wildlife photography competition will be held on October 4. Photos (size not less than 12"x18") has to be sent to the organizers on or before October 2. Anyone can participate in this contest.

An essay competition will be held for lower primary, higher primary, high school and college students. Essays in English or Kannada, not exceeding 1,500 words, has to be submitted to the organizers on or before October 1. Collage competition will be held for lower primary, higher primary, high school and college students.

Participants have to send their collage on or before October 2 in a drawing sheet.

Drawing, fancy dress and quiz competitions for lower primary, higher primary, high school and college student will be held on October 4. The participants have to bring their own water colours, colour pencils, crayons and necessary drawing materials along with them. Drawing sheets will be provided at the venue.

A mobile camera short film competition will also be held for high school and college students.

The video should not exceed more than five minutes. Participants will have to send the video file through email or CD on or before October 1.

Dog shows and cat shows will be held on October 4 at Pilikula. Participants have to register their names on or before October 1. H J Bhandary, director, Pilikula Biological Park, said that the entries should be sent by post or in person.

Participants have been requested to write their name, address and phone number on a separate sheet.
