Pickpocket trapped by public ; Police let him go

Mangaluru, Jan 13, 2017: It is reported that Kadri police set free a pickpocket who was caught in the Mangaluru city bus station on Jan 11, Wednesday evening after Mangaluru based youth Puneeth caught him and handed over to the Kadri police. This is an example as to how our police act.

The youth caught the pickpocket and handed over him to the police and registered a complaint on the incident with the help of the public. The youth was injured also while catching the pickpocket.

However, the pickpocket was freed by the police soon after receiving the complaint from Puneeth. Puneeth questioned the move of the police on pickpocket. The police responded with arrogantly and threatened Puneeth to leave the police station saying that they have received the complaint from him on the incident and no more talks on the matter.

Puneeth has said that he would complain to Mangaluru city police commissioner and Karnataka home minister on the incident.
