The complainant is Muneesh Ali, a Councillor of Bantwal. In his complaint, he had alleged that the WhatsApp post had targeted a particular religion. He  had alleged that Islam was projected badly in a post in the  WhatsApp Group titled "Media and Rai  Sir"  and   brought in the fear of disturbing peace.

Though the police had been to the residence of the photojournalist following the FIR, he could not be traced. It  is said the police had not buckled  under pressure from the media in this regard and are firm in  acting against the scribe for the offensive post.
