Mangaluru May 28, 2016: District BJP President Prathap Simha Nayak has  alleged that the Congress led Siddaramaiah government has failed to live up to the expectation of the people and hopes were shattered during its three years of rule.

Addressing media men at BJP Office on Saturday May 28, Prathap Simha said that Congress has bamboozled people in the name of the development. At present people have stopped expecting anything from the Congress, he said.

The state government is known as one of the most corrupt government, he said and added that the alleged involvement of Health Minister UT Khader in drug purchase scam was shameful. Slamming DK District in-charge Minister Ramanath Rai for being "irresponsible" he also accused the minister of  keeping on defending illegal sand mining.

The Congress had even tried to fool people with a lot of fake assurances during panchayath elections,  criticized Prathap Simha.

He also accused the government of failing to solve the problems of arecanut growers and rubber growers and to find alternate measures to help them tide over crisis.

Referring to the acute water scarcity which hit the city in past couple of months, MP Capt Ganesh Karnik demanded postponement of reopening of schools to June 15.

 Monappa Bhandary, Nithin Kumar, Sanjeev Mathandoor and others were present.
