Mangaluru, June 27, 2016: Residents of Panjimogaru in Mangaluru are sore over the authorities for their failure to crack the mystery behind the Panjimogaru double murder case. On June 28, Tuesday, it will be exactly five years since Fathima Raziya and her little daughter were hacked to death at their house at Panjimogaru during broad day light.
The residents of the area have now demanded a higher probe into the case as the CID investigation which is presently underway has failed to make any headway into the investigation.
It may be recalled here that it was after intense protests from residents of the area under the leadership of the DYFI that the government had entrusted the case to the CID.
The local residents have now expressed anguish over the apathy of MLA Moidin Bava in ensuring justice in the case though he had participated in the protests that were organised soon after the incident and had even assured thorough probe, during his election campaign meets.
They have also alleged that none of the other elected representatives were evincing interest in the case. Residents are now hoping that a higher probe would be ordered into the case at least in the holy month of Ramzan.

The political pressure in some cases stop the police from going ahead with the case. Eg: Vinayak Baliga murder case its because of Mr. Narendra Nayak who was the behind the case day and night fighting for sake of justice. | |
