Padubidri : Semi-nude protest demanding toll exemption

Padubidri Jan 30, 2019: The protest  by Karnataka Rakshana Vedike activists seeking exemption from toll payment at the Hejamady toll booth for  vehicles  of Padubidri Panchayat limits, has entered the 23rd day on January 30, Tuesday.  Three of the protestors  staged a semi-nude protest on Wednesday  with their bodies painted in black.


Karnataka Rakshana Vedike District President Ansar Ahmed, Taluk unit Chief Sayyed Nizamuddin and Asif have resorted to this novel protest wherein they have also placed a begging bowl before them.  Today’s protest was staged against the apathy of the administration towards the cause despite the protest underway since 23 days.

District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai visited the protest venue  and pledged his support for the cause.

Naveen Chandra J Shetty, President of Padubidri Jana Jagrithi Samithi and others were present.
