Mangaluru, Aug 3, 2015: The Orientation Day was held for the 31st new batch B.D.S students of A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences on 1st August 2015 in Vimshati Bhavan at the institution. Around 100 new students, along with their parents and kin attended the function, meant to orient and welcome the fresh batch of students to the institution.

The function was attended in large numbers by all the teaching faculty of the institution as well.

The Chancellor of Nitte University, Sri N.V. Hegde, graced the occasion, and inspired the students to take the college, as well as, themselves to greater heights.

The Vice Chancellor, Nitte University, Prof.(Dr.) Ramananda Shetty, The Registrar, Nitte University, Prof.(Dr) Moodithaya, Director CADSS, Prof.(Dr) Sridhar Shetty spoke on the occasion, guiding the fresh batch students to achieve holistic success.

Prof.(Dr) U.S. Krishna Nayak, The Principal and Dean of the institution, presided over the function, and briefed about the vast glorious history of the institution, and welcomed the students as being a part of this landmark institution.
