Mangaluru, July 14, 2016: In maiden effort, transgenders have now the option to now avail 24x7 online help after a website was launched by an independent organisation.

transgenders The initiative to launch the website www.transgenderindia.com was taken by Neysara Rai (33) who is based in Mangaluru. She was born a male but was more comfortable with her feminine side. Her association with Gopi Shankar from Madurai helped her lead a normal life.

On Gopi’s advice, Neysara formed WhatsApp groups of 10 members each with two seniors taking up the roles of mentors who could counsel younger transgenders to be comfortable with their reality. She informed that there were as many as 17 such groups where members constantly shared posts and asked questions.
