One dead, four injured in head on collition of cars at Kondadi, Hiriyadka

Udupi, April 02: Cars collided head on while overtaking a bus killing one person and injured four others in a freak accident in Kondadi, Hiriadka on Saturday April 2, 2016. The victim is identified as Suresh Bhat, a native of Karkala.
The accident took place when a Nisan car tried to overtake a bus and hit the Ford Figo car of Bhat which was coming in the opposite direction.
Suresh Bhat and his wife were on their way from Karkala to Anegudde Temple in Udupi. Suresh Bhat who was driving the car died on the spot while his wife sustained serious injuries. Three persons in the Nisan car also suffered serious injuries. All injured have been admitted to a hospital.
Though the bus was also hit by the accident, no passengers were hurt. Hiriadka police have registered case.
