One dead, 5 injured in Omni- tipper collision near Mudipu

Mangaluru, July 06, 2018: One person was killed and five others sustained injuries when the Maruti Omni in which they were travelling collided with a tipper at Mittakody near Mudipu on July 5, Thursday. The condition of one of the injured is said to be critical
The deceased person is Mohammad Kamaluddin (24) from Adkere Padpu in Renjady. He was driving the car. The other injured are Muzambil, Sikander (42, Kairunnisa (32), Mazin (2) and Mohammad Munaiz (4). All of them are undergoing treatment at a private hospital at Derlakatte.
Those in the car were returning home after attending a baby shower programme of a relative at Uppinangady. It is said that the tipper was over speeding resulting in the mishap.
