Mangalore, Feb 8, 2014 : ADGP MN Reddy who has taken over the responsibility of bringing the situation in Ullal under control, has said that steps have been taken to ensure that no political or religious leader visited the place until it returned to normalcy.
Following this decision of the police authorities, the local MLA and State Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khader is left with no other go but to oversee the situation in his constituency, while remaining out of the constituency. It has been gathered that the police have also prevented a senior religious leader of Udupi too from visiting the place.
The ADGP further said the police have been given a free hand to tackle the situation which had failed to return to normalcy even after a peace meeting. He even said that the Mangalore Police Commissioner too has kept a strict eye on the condition prevailing at Ullal.
