No Made Snana or Yede Snana in Udupi

Udupi, Dec 03, 2019:   Neither Made Snana nor Yede Snana were organised at the Subrahmanya shrine on the occasion of Subrahmanya Shashti festival on the Sri Krishna Mutt/Temple premises here on Monday.

 

After the controversy over Made Snana broke out, Yede Snana used to be organised around the Subrahmanya shrine for the last few years.

But last year and also this year, neither Made Snana nor Yede Snana have been held as Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swami of Paryaya Palimar did not want any controversy. The Palimar seer had stopped both these practices at the temple here last year. The devotees offered only special prayers at the shrine here.
