New twist to the elderly woman’s death in lodge: daughter goes missing with kids

Mangalore Today News Network

Kundapur, April 18, 2015: There has been a sudden and interesting new twist to the case of the suspicious death of a 60 year old woman named Lalitha Devadiga (60) from Mumbai, at a lodge in Kundapur on March 15, Wednesday night.  Reports of late suggest that Lalitha’s daughter who too stayed in Mumbai has gone missing along with her two children. The suspicion is that their going missing coincided with the incident wherein the youth who had arrived with Lalitha to the lodge, also  went absconding.

The absconding person is Azhar Afzal Khan alias Ajay Babu (36). Though the reasons behind Lalitha’s death is not known,  the absconding  person  as per the mobile  tower indication,  was in Maharashtra. The missing daughter of Lalitha is Shobha alias Vaishnavi.  Sources said she had telephoned her husband  just before leaving the house, but when the latter did not receive her call, had messaged him saying “I Miss You.” It is gathered that Shobha had not even informed her elder brother who stayed nearby.

According to latest information, both the youth and Lalitha’s daughter might be somewhere in the outskirts of Mumbai. In the meantime, the son of  the deceased Lalitha has arrived in Kundapur.

Further investigations are underway.
