Mangaluru, Aug 04, 2018: JD(S) MLC Bhoje Gowda has opined that the neglect of Hindus by the Congress in the coastal belt has hurt the sentiments of the community resulting in the debacle of the party.
Speaking to reporters on August 4, Saturday, he said he was of the strong view that people of all communities must be treated equally. Stating that he too wears saffron shawl, Bhoje Gowda further added that saffron was not the sole property of the BJP.
He said the presence of discerning votes had helped him win the recent MLC polls. He said an office would be opened in Mangaluru to respond to the problems of teachers of South West Teachers Constituency. He said the government has responded to the problems of guest lecturers and that a total of 12,000 guest lecturers have been appointed.
Bhoje Gowda further added that a meeting between the CM and teachers’ representatives would be held soon to discuss problems of teachers.
District JD(S) President Mohammad Kunhi, Sushil Noronha, Ramganesh, Akshith Suvarna and other party leaders were present.
