Nalin Kumar Kateel must be banished : Ramanatha Rai

Mangaluru, May 18, 2019:  Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar  Kateel who has made a controversial remark by comparing  former prime minister Rajeev Gandhi with Mahatma Gandhi’s killer Godse should be immediately banished from the nation, demanded  former minister B Ramanatha Rai.

 

He was addressing a protest organised by the  District Congress in front of the party office here on May 18, Saturday condemning  the statements  made by BJP candidates Prajna Singh Thakur, Nalin Kumar Kateel and Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde.

Ramanatha Rai said there was no question of tolerating such a statement from Nalin who is in a responsible position. "It’s an unpardonable act. If such statements are not checked then there is a possibility of depicting all freedom fighters as traitors," Rai said adding  one feels ashamed to call Nalin as MP of the district.

MLC Ivan D’Souza, former mayor Shashidhar Hegde, former MUDA Chief Suresh Ballal and others were present.
