Mysterious call Vinayaka Baliga’s residence, traced

Mangaluru, Mar 31, 2017: Reports state that police have cracked the case of a mysterious phone call that was made to slain RTI activist Vinayaka Baliga’s house last week. It is said that Harsha Baliga received a call at Vinayaka Baliga’s house and after confirming the residence, the caller said that the police might come to their house because of an accident and that they had to keep their gates open.

call traced.jpg The Baliga family then called their relatives to find out whether anyone had met with an accident. They later informed ACP Uday Nayak who in turn contacted Barke police station.

Investigations revealed that the number from which the call was made belonged to a local doctor and that the call was made by his son who is in class 6. It is said that the boy used to attend tuitions at Baliga’s house couple of year ago.However, the reason for the call is yet to be ascertained.
