Declaring that the society will be healthy if its temples are eco friendly, he said that people’s habit of using plastic in temples will not come to an end if mere fines are imposed; people need to cooperate with the concerned authorities to strictly implement the government regulations against use of plastic in temple premises.

Urging school and college students to engage in awareness enhancement activities and promote eco friendliness in society, he said that they will receive state-level awards for their contributions.

Assuring temple priests and their assistants of good pay and other facilities, he said that the recent verdict on the Ayodhya issue suits all communities and urged everybody to co-exist peacefully.

The minister also held a discussion with Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade on various issues regarding efficient temple administration.
