Mutt to launch phase 2 - Swachh Bharat drive

Mangaluru, Oct 4, 2015 The Ramakrishna Mutt, Mangaluru, had initiated a 40 week-long Swachh Mangaluru Abhiyan on February 1, 2015. The drive was given a break for the monsoon season, it will initiate second phase of cleanliness drive from October 4.

 

The Ramakrishna Mutt, had organised Varna Rupa, an art camp themed ’Swacch Manas - Swachh Bharat - Shreshta Bharath’ at the Ashram as part of the drive Oct 2. The camp was inaugurated by MLA J R Lobo. About 30 reputed artists from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts took part, camp will concluded October 3 at 5.30 pm.

The second phase of the Swachh Mangaluru drive will begin at Karangalpady (Near Leo Furniture) at 7.30 am on October 4. Trustee, Ramakrishna Mutt and Mission, Swami Muktidananda, will inaugurate the programme. Mayor Jacintha Vijaya Alfred will flagg off the drive. MRPL MD, Kumar H, MRPL GGM Lakshminarayana, Mangalore Airport former director M R Vasudeva, Corporators Prakash Salian, Premanath Shetty will take part.

Seminar : A seminar on Swachh Bharath, ’Cleanliness: Internal and external’ will be held on October 4 at 9 am.

Trustee, Ramakrishna Mission, Swami Muktidananda Maharaj, will inaugurate the seminar.
