Udupi, May 08, 2016: Speaking to media after meeting Vishwesha Tirtha Swami of Pejawar Mutt at the Sri Krishna Mutt/Temple at Udupi on May 7, Saturday, Pramod Muthalik, founder of Sri Rama Sene, said that the State government was torturing him by banning his programmes.
He said that banning him was to ban Hindutva and patriotism.
He said that he had urged the Pejawar seer to take up the matter with the Home Minister and the State government.
The State was facing severe drought. This drought was forcing the farmers to sell their cattle. It was incumbent upon all heads of mutts in the State to start cow shelters to protect cows especially in the drought-affected areas.
The Pejawar seer should take the initiative in this matter Muthalik stressed. .
