Murder attempt on Katipalla man at Mannagudda

Mangaluru, Mar 25, 2015: There has been a murder attempt on a man from Katipalla who was sleeping in front of a shop at Mannagudda during the early hours of March 25, Wednesday.

Wednesday. The incident however came to light on Wednesday morning and the man identified as Nagaraj Prabhu (40) who was found in a pool of blood, was rushed to the Wenlock Hospital. The incident reportedly took place at around 1 am when Nagaraj was hit on the head with a sharp object.

Sources said Nagaraj’s condition continues to remain critical. It has been gathered that Nagaraj who was in jail in connection with some theft cases in Suratkal police station limits, was out of prison recently. As his family had abandoned him, he was spending night on the roadside.

Barke police are conducting the investigations.
