Mudarangady School teacher Sunitha wins laurels at Masters Athletic event

Padubidri, Dec 14, 2016 :  Sunitha D’Souza, a teacher  in St. Francis School, Mudarangady has brought laurels by winning silver in the 200 meters race and  bronze in Long Jump at the 37th State level Masters Athletic Champisonhip held at Bengaluru on December 10 and 11.

Sunitha who had contested in the 35+ category  clocked 33.05 seconds to  emerge second in 200 meters race while in long jump  her  leap of  3.50 meters won her a bronze.

This is Sunitha’s maiden participation in a state level event. She  who has won the 4th position in the 100 meters race has now been selected for the national level relay  team. She also is on a quest for  gold in the national level marathon event to be held at Hyderabad  from February 21 to 25, 2017.

Her achievement amid her tight schedule as a teacher, has been widely appreciated.
