Mangaluru, July 17, 2017: Reports state that  Mosques in Coastal districts of DK /Udupi offered a special prayer seeking restoration of peace in trouble-hit Dakshina Kannada district.

Mosques 1A special prayers with a message of brotherhood were offered in all the masjids following a direction from Dakshina Kannada  District United Jamaat khazi Sayyed Fazal Koya Thangal Koorath and Udupi, Hassan, Chikkamagalur District United Jamaat Khazi Bekal Ibrahim Musliyar.

The chief priests in the mosques also raised awareness and speeches of living in peace and harmony and quotes by Prophet Mohammed to live in harmony.

Meanwhile, various non political parties gathered to appeal to the people of Dakshina Kannada to maintain peace and to keep away from communal forces that try to create rift in the society.
