Moodbidri, Apr 12, 2018: A young housewife has been found dead under suspicious circumstances in her rented house at Gantalkatte in Kallabettu  village near here on April 11, Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as  Kairunnisa (22), wife of Aslam of Gantalkatte.  Kairunnisa was found hanging inside the house  in the afternoon. Meanwhile, the  cell phone of Aslam has been found switched off giving further room for suspicion.

The couple were staying in the rented house  since eight months.  When the house owner   who heard the couple’s child crying continuously  he went inside only to find Kairunnisa’s body hanging with the help of her chudidar shawl.

Kairunnisa who hails from Ammunje in Bantwal was given in marriage to Aslam four years ago. The couple has a two and a half years old girl child. Aslam sells vegetables and fruits in his  vehicle  to make a living. Even  his father and brother’s mobile phones are  found to be switched off.

Moodbidri police are investigating based on the complaint lodged by Kairunnisa’s father.
