Mangaluru, Feb 21, 2015: Former union minister  M Veerappa Moily on February 20, Friday criticised some leaders  within the party for commenting against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Speaking to reporters after inaugurating a concrete road near the Kadri Yogishwar Mutt, Moily said it was improper to target a Chief minister who is  leaving no stone unturned in strengthening the party.”Siddaramaiah has a chance to become Chief Minister once again after the next elections if he goes ahead with the good works,” observed Moily.

On the demand placed forth by some to have a Dalit chief minister in the state, Moily said it was uncalled for. Regarding oil prices, Moily, a former Minister for Petroleum  said the amount of subsidy provided at present was  very much less and added fuel prices would have been much lower if better subsidy was provided.

The present situation is however in sharp contrast to it, he observed and recalled how the previous UPA government had  not increased fuel prices whenever its international prices shot up and instead helped through more subsidy.

Mahantarasa Rajayogi Sandhyanath of Kadri Yogishwar Mutt jointly inaugurated the road along with Moily. Mahabala Maarla, city Mayor, Kavitha, Deputy Mayor, Ashok DK, local Corporator, Shashidhar Hegde, former mayor and others were present.
