veerappa moily sep 11Mangalore, Sep 11: Union Minister for Corporate Affairs Veerappa Moily interacted with reporters today and promised people who had lost their land for industrial projects four times more than the compensation they were earlier promised.

Voicing his opinions that most cases of communal violence are political in nature, he assured listeners that the central government is doing everything within its power to prevent acts of communal violence in future, owing to which it has drafted the Communal Violence Bill.

Issuing certain clarifications regarding the arrest of Janardhan Reddy, he said that it was the Supreme Court that ordered his arrest owing to his involvement in illegal mining activities.

Rubbishing BJP allegations that the CBI is a Congress tool, Moily said that even Congress leaders Kannimozi, Raja, and Kalmadi are in jail today because of corrupt activities.

He also expressed hopes that the people of Karnataka will vote wisely and select honest leaders.
