Mangaluru, Dec 14, 2017: State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader has informed that the state government has released a compensation amount of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of SDPI activist Mohammad Ashraf and RSS worker Sharath Madivala who were killed in Bantwal a few months ago.
Speaking to reporters here on December 14, Thursday, the minister said the compensation cheques will be handed over to the two families by DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai within the next few days.
Recalling his earlier assurance regarding compensation, Khader said he has kept his words by ensuring that the compensation amount was released.
