Mangaluru, Sep 20, 2016 : State Higher Education Minister Basavaraja Rayareddy has said that he has instructed the Mangalore University Vice Chancellor to move court seeking cancellation of the bail granted to the accused in the case wherein a mobile camera was placed in the ladies toilet of the University.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the 37th Foundation Day of the University on September 19, Monday, the Minister said the background of the accused and his details are known to everyone and that he has also been suspended from the class. " Some communal elements are misusing the students" he said and warned of stringent action against anyone who resort to communal activities in educational institutions.
Referring to the row in Bellare college, he said no matter who is wearing saffron shawls, those trying to sow seeds of communalism will face stern action, he warned.
Politics should never creep into educational institutions, he added.
