Karkala, Feb 8, 2013 : Two students of Christ King School here who were reported missing since February 5, have been traced  in Mumbai.

missing 1The boys Manish and Austin, both thirteen years old and studying in eighth standard who had left for school on February 5 had neither reached school nor home. But what has been gathered now is that Manish who earlier studied in Mumbai   till seventh standard, was admitted to a school in Karkala for eighth standard and was staying with his uncle Lokesh. But the boy was homesick and wanted to return home, his uncle Lokesh said.

It is learnt, Manish sold his mobile phone and along with Austin had been to Udupi from where they boarded a train to Goa. It was in Goa that Austin called a classmate  and asked him to collect his books from his house. This was informed to  Manish’s uncle and both the families headed to Goa.

However, when locals began to enquire the two boys at  Margoa station, they boarded a train to Mumbai early morning and in Mumbai, Manish contacted his parents. Both the boys are safe and Austin’s family has left for Mumbai to bring him back.
