Mangaluru, Nov 13, 2015:  Miscreants have stoned two private  buses near Mudipu on November 13, Thursday during the bundh being observed across the district  as per the call given by Hindu organisations to condemn the violence in the aftermath of Tipu Jayanthi celebrations.  There have also been instances of  miscreants damaging banners put up  conveying best wishes  for the Tipu Jayanthi celebrations near Kuttar.

Opposition to closure of medical stores, paper stalls in Thokottu : Meanwhile, in Thokkottu public took the police to task for reportedly asking the medical stores and paper stalls in the area to shut down. Local residents took ACP Kalyani Shetty to task and  alleged that police themselves were supporting the bundh.

When public threatened to resort to a protest over the issue on November 14,   the ACP assured to take steps to  open the medical stores. However, the public have been subject to a great deal of inconvenience as medical stores remained closed even until noon.

What reminded the State Government to celebrate Tippu Jayanthi this year? When it disturbs the harmony of the people Government should discuss and then come forward with such issues.

The public shouldn’t damage the public properties in any strikes. Should never for violence , the bundh was successful in Mangaluru. Tippu Jayanthi celebration was the reason for the violence and cost life of two persons.
