Mangaluru, Sep 25, 2018: Speaking after inaugurating the new building of The South Canara Government Officers’ Cooperative Bank Limited in Dongarakeri, Minister U T Khader said that the Govt is working for the welfare of all staff. The event also marked the centenary celebrations of the bank. There is great effort by state government to implement the recommendations of the 6th Pay Commission, said DK District In-charge Minister U T Khader.
“The administrative machinery will function only when all government employees a family. If the government staff work with commitment, the public can avail facilities without any hassles. This will only ensure good service and also contribute to the development of the nation,” he said.
Khader said that through the Jyothi Sanjeevini scheme, government servants are able to get better health facilities at hospitals. The government has been providing loans at low interest to help staff meet their housing needs and their children’s education.
Khader lauded the commitment of the employees and office-bearers in placing the bank on the path of progress.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kumar said government staff should be creative in addressing problems of the public. Along with public life, they must take care of their personal life too, he stressed.
Bank President Shivanand said the bank has 40,000 members and a working capital of Rs 30 crore.
