Kundapur, Oct 13, 2017 : Udupi District in-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj laid the foundation for a pilot breakwater project from Trasi to Maravanthe on October 12, Thursday. The 3.5 km long project will cost Rs 92.23 crore and will be taken up with aid from Asian Development Bank.
Speaking on the occasion, Pramod said there are plans to extend the project upto 300 kilometers if the present project was successful.
K Gopal Poojary, MLA of Byndoor presided over the function. Raja Amar, Vice President of the firm which has been awarded contract of the project, Vivek Bansal, its CEO, Anitha R K, President of Maravanthe Gram Panchayat and many others were present.
