Mangaluru, March 10, 2019: The district level Pulse Polio drive was inaugurated at the Lady Goschen Hospital here on March 10, Sunday by DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Urban Development U T Khader in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and other officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Khader urged all parents of children below five years to immunize their children against Polio. He also stated that Karnataka was declared a Polio free state in 2007.
He said it has been targeted to administer Pulse Polio drops to 1,49,562 children in the district.
