He said that doctors from KMC Hospital are not doing their duty in Wenlock Hospital in spite of the MoU signed between the two hospitals. Stating that he will bring this to the notice of the chief minister, he said that he will discuss with the CM the issue of recruiting government doctors for Wenlock Hospital. He also promised that he will sanction funds to develop the hospital in this budget.

Mr. Ramdas then spoke to Dr. Saroja and wanted to know why she had not checked complaints lodged by patients from the past 4 months. He also called the OPD and found that doctors were not on duty in several units.

A reporter complained that a patient was admitted to Wenlock, but was discharged. Since he was not treated before his discharge, he had a dengue attack and was admitted to KMC Hospital, running up medical expenses of Rs. 18,000. The minister heard the complaint and said that he will take action based on this complaint and make sure that the patient gets a complete refund.

N. Yogesh Bhat, the deputy speaker, accompanied the minister.
