Mangaluru, Nov 15, 2019: Swimmers from the Jai Hind Swimming Club have bagged 33 medals in various competitions organised by public education department in the age group of 14 to 19 years categories.
The competitions were held at state, professional education and pre-university, CBSE zonal and all-India inter-university levels.
Abhista R Rao won one gold, silver and bronze medals each.
Aditya G Bhandary (1 silver, 2 bronze), Alaister S Rego (1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze), Diya Shetty (2 bronze), Ishitha (1 gold), Janani K (1 silver 1 bronze), Saniya Jeslyn D’Souza (3 gold 2 silver), Samarth
Kumar (1 silver 2 bronze), Spoorthi R Rao (2 silver 1 bronze), Shrishan S Bangera (4 gold), Vindya G Bhandary
(2 silver) and Wafi Abdul Hakeem (1 gold 1 bronze).
Janani K, Vindya G Bhandary and Wafi Abdul Hakeem will participate in the CBSE national-level swimming competition in Bhopal. Alaister Samuel Rego, Saniya Jeslyn D’Souza, Samarth Kumar and Shrishan S Bangera will participate in SGFI Nationals in New Delhi. Ishitha will participate in Nationals in New Delhi.
The swimmers were trained under the leadership of V Ramakrishna Rao, head coach, Rajesh Antony Bengre, assistant coach, and K Nagaraj, assistant coach.
