Mangalore, Aug 24, 2013 : Prof. KA Krishnamurthy was a role model to the society who showed how one can lead a life in an extraordinary way, observed Dr N Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University.
He was presiding over a function organised at the Eric Mathias Hall of St Aloysius College on August 23, Friday to commemorate the birth centenary of Prof. KA Krishnamurthy, a renowned mathematician.
R Victor, Head of the Department of English of St Aloysius College, who spoke as a chief guest, also described Prof. Krishnamurthy as an extraordinary personality who was not only a mathematician, but was also good in other subjects like music, sports, art and moral science.
He said the school still has the answer sheets of Prof. Krishnamurthy who had secured second rank in Maths. He said his life should be taken as an inspiration by students. Prof. Krishnamurthy lived life to the fullest, he further added.
Ananthakrishna, ex-officio Chairman of Karnataka Bank, released a souvenir on the occasion.
