Mangaluru, Feb 21, 2016 : Reports have mentioned that different lots of liquor has been seized by excise officials.
Puttur: The officials arrested one person and seized an Activa for illegally transporting liquor, the accused, Umesh Poojary, resident of Peruvaje village was caught at Puttur. It is said that when the officials were on patrol, they found the Activa moving around suspiciously. They searched the vehicle and found17.280 liters of liquor which was immediately seized. During interrogation, the accused confessed that he was supposed to supply the liquor to Suresh Gowda of Ankathadka village.
Udupi: The Excise officials seized a tempo transporting liquor at Gandhi Nagar, Baikadi near Brahmavar on Thursday night. Police arrested accused B Nagaraj (50) and seized 8.5 liters liquor.
Belthangady: The Excise officials seized illegal liquor kept for sale at Madanthyar. The liquor, worth Rs 1.25 lakh included 78.48 liters beer stored in a warehouse.
