Maritally engaged woman elopes with lover ; sister dies of shock

Karkala, Sep 04, 2020:     A young woman from Maala in Karkala taluk   who  was deeply shocked after her  maritally engaged  elder sister eloped with her lover, has  breathed her last  in the hospital on September 4, Friday.

 

The maritally engaged woman who worked in a food factory  had gone missing  on Thursday. Her parents had filed a missing complaint in this regard.

Meanwhile  the missing woman who had made a call to her sister had told her that she was  leaving with her colleague with whom she was in love and that she was not interested in marrying the  man whom her parents had chosen for her. She had also reportedly told her sister not to make any effort to search for her.

The  younger sister who was in a state of shock fell ill and was hospitalised. However, she breathed her last today.

It is learnt the engagement of the missing woman was held during lockdown. Sources said she was in love with an Assam youth who is her colleague.
