Mangaluru, July 13,2017: In reports it is known that Manipal University’s efforts to maintain global best practices in energy management, energy use and energy performance, factors that impact global climate change, has been duly recognised by TUV Rheinland (I) Pvt. Ltd.
At a function here at the university on Tuesday, Bernd Hagen, Regional Manager, Certification of Management Systems, TUV Rheinland Pvt. Ltd., handed over the certificates of recognition.
According to a statement here on July 12, Wednesday, the university has been successfully implementing these practices in line with ISO 50001 standard with demonstrable outcomes.
Apart from this, the university has been consistently improving upon its quality and environmental performance by incorporating the revised ISO standards 9001 and 14001. The ISO 9001 certificate was received by Pro Vice-Chancellors Poornima Baliga and G.K. Prabhu; ISO 14001 by Registrar Narayana Sabhahit; and ISO 50001 certificate was received by Pro Chancellor, H.S. Ballal.
