The traffic hurdles which began at around 11 am at Mahaveera Circle (Pumpwell) slowly spread to Kankanady, Balmatta, Bunts Hostel junction, Karangalapady, PVS junction and towards Mahatma Gandhi road.  City witnessed slow moving traffic till evening without a break.

Most number of vehicles came from Kankanady and Bendoorwell towards State Bank Circle and from Hampankatta to wards Bunts Hostel circle and PVS junction via Ambedkar Circle. KSRTC buses and private buses flying towards Kasaragod and Bantwal from Bejai took Karangalapady road violating route permit sanctioned for them without any directions from authorities.

The City police placed signal lights in several circle recently for smooth passage of vehicular traffic. But, today very few traffic police personnel were in action and unruly motorists added vows of the people.
It was Bengaluru like traffic situation in Mangaluru today, a commuter told Mangalore Today.
A petty shop keeper in Bunts hostel told that this was very rare situation in Mangalore city today and we have not witnessed day long traffic jam in Mangalore.

At last slow moving traffic would be here to stay as number of vehicles increased and number traffic signal at very short distance would make it happen.

Mangaluru City Corporation has completely neglected the works of widening roads and providing foothpath facilities and unruly behaviour of vehicle owners in parking vehicles in haphazard manner like parking both the sides of the road etc., added much to vows of traffic police.
