Mangaluru, May 16, 2015: Mangaluru cops have arrested two Bihar based men in connection to the theft which had taken place in Laxmidas Jewellery shop in the city on May 13th.

The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Ifthikar Alam (22), a resident of Rampur, Poorniya district in Bihar and Mohammed Sabeer(22), a resident of Gatul Belva in Bihar.

City Police commissioner S Murugan, addressing a press meet at his office on Saturday, said "we have recovered silver jewellery, mobile phones, laptop and other valuables worth Rs 10 lakhs from the accused. He also informed that the burglars had even sneaked into JES Tours and Travels office on the same night.

A case stands registered against the accused in Bunder Police station. The police have found the cases against the accused in Hulimavu and Sampigehalli police stations in Bengaluru too.

Under the direction of Police Commissioner S Murugan, DCP Vishnuvardhan and ACP Thilakchandra, Bunder Police inspector S Shantaram and his team investigated case.
