Mangaluru: Youth attempts suicide for second time; dies

Mangaluru, April 04, 2015:  A youth who had survived a suicide attempt  recently and was admitted to a rehabilitation centre at Capitanio in the city, has ended his life at the Centre by hanging himself in the bathroom on April 3, Friday.

The deceased youth is  Alwyn Fernandes (27), son of late Joseph and Teresa Fernandes. Alwyn who hailed from Kalmady had tried to end his life about three weeks ago at Kalmady.  He however managed to survive and was admitted to a rehabilitation centre upon discharge from hospital.

However, for some unknown reason, he again  attempted suicide and this time  lost his life. He was found hanging from the bathroom window.

Alwyn has left behind a brother and  sources said he was good in event management and had actively involved himself in church activities.
