Mangaluru, Sep 27, 2016: KSRTC Officilas and Staff along with various organization protest in front of KSRTC Bus Depot, Mangaluru on September 27, today.  Raged over the attitude of Kabaka police consatble against the conductor on duty, who ends life due to humiliation.

Alleged that the humiliation which Devadas suffered in the Kadaba Police Station where he was taken after the lady passenger argued that she had passed on a Rs 500 note to him though Devadas said it was a Rs 100 note,  is believed to have forced  Devadas to take the extreme step.


It is also said that  the police personnel at the station had undressed and assaulted the conductor, in the absence of the station house officer.  They also strongly opined that Devadas who felt ashamed and was also deeply hurt by this had decided to take the extreme step. The person responsible for this act too has to be punished for this act.


They requested that  as  Devadas was the only bread winner the family has to get the compensation of 10 lakhs from Government. They also said that because of the act of on constable the whole department will not be responsible for this act of humiliation. They have requested the Government should to take action regarding this case and not repeat incident of such in future.


AITU president Praveen Kumar, Member of INTUC Manohar shetty  and Shashiraj Ambat, Sunil  Kumar Bajal, KSRTC Officials and many others were present.
