Mangaluru:VHP expresses it’s strong opposition to Yettinahole work

Mangaluru, Oct 01, 2015: VHP - Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Dakshina Kannada unit has opposed the ongoing Yettinahole diversion project as it said it was being done without scientific study and consulting the people.
Talking to media Sept 30, VHP Dakshina Pranta executive president M.B. Puranik said doubts have been expressed about the project’s ability to meet the requirement of water for the arid areas in Chikkaballpura, Kolar and other districts. VHP is opposed to execution of this project done without carrying out a proper scientific study and consultation of the people. Asked for the reason for the delayed reaction to the project, Puranik said they took time to study the whole project. It cannot be allowed for any harm to Netravathi and Western Ghats he stressed.
